The Memorial Business concept started with the late Cornelio Nunez Bernales, Sr., a Boholano carpenter who sailed & crossed wide shores to capture the Ormocanon Lady named Nicolasa Villanueva Laurente. With simple beginnings as Ormoc District 28 Hermosilla Drive Barangay Captain, then called “Connie”, he started a simple Casket business. The business had a second location in Cogon. However, the furious Typhoon Auring swiped the 2-Floor Bernales Building. Along these business events came the Seven Bernales children who wondered around the city for years and only one Empowered Dancing daughter named “Laura” held on to transform it into a full Memorial Service in 1988. Laura, considered as the future Bernales business standard bearer, led the 3rd business Location in her Rizal Street property. Her leadership found a new name: Ormoc Bernales Funeral. In 2000, Laura's only daughter, Stella Camerlengo with an Italian descent father, was appointed to manage the business. Inspired and overwhelmed with a new mindset, Stella moved forward and married a local friend, Kimo Zanoria Oriol. A blessed partnership hailed new & inspiring beginnings as Stella joined in 2017 a 10-Module Entrepreneurship Program with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI-Region 8 KMME) Kapatid Mentor Me in partnership with the Philippine Center for Leadership (PCE) - Go Negosyo Program. In short, Stella was guided with all forms of business management concepts and more effective operational systems. Laura, Stella and Kimo hailed a high endurance to move forward for the future. A more defined Business Leadership Transformation began with innovative and transformative systems that they learned with their current Corporate Strategic Partner who introduced them ISO 9001:2015 Systems. In 2019, Bernales Memorial Chapels (BMC) with a new Logo and Tagline “Love Forever” - business name was born.
